Bookmark or watch this page for details of Norman's own fully functional aluminium R2-D2 which he has been personally working on for over 3 years! The engineering skills which have gone into this are amazing, and as his company Norank worked with John Stears on the original, it will be accurate! Also, some of the parts he has had machined will be available to fellow builders, including the first accurate polished laser cut spun aluminium dome in ONE piece.  Norman doesn't make parts himself any more, he retired 20 years ago thanks to fitting out Richard Bransons record shops, in fact Norank was floated on the Stock Exchange before Virgin.
